By accessing or using grep.md ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

grep.md is a web content conversion service that converts URLs to Markdown format with optional search, filter, and extraction capabilities. The Service operates via an HTTP API and related tools (CLI, SDK, browser extension).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scrape content in violation of copyright law or the target website's terms of service
  • Circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to disrupt or overload the Service infrastructure
  • Resell API access without authorization

4. API Keys & Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Do not share or expose keys publicly. We reserve the right to revoke keys that are abused or compromised.

5. Content & Copyright

grep.md respects robots.txt directives and DMCA takedown requests. The Service converts publicly available web content — you are responsible for ensuring your use of converted content complies with applicable copyright laws and the source website's terms.

6. Rate Limits & Fair Use

All accounts are subject to rate limits based on their subscription tier. Excessive usage that impacts service quality for other users may result in temporary throttling or account suspension.

7. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, grep.md shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
